Community Resources

Sometimes the counseling needs of a student are outside the scope and sequence of my training as a school counselor.  In this case, I may recommend that the parents/guardians seek outside therapy for the student.  In addition to the needs of the student, the family may benefit from family counseling, parent classes, marriage counseling, or help with domestic violence. Below is a list of outside agencies and resources available in our community.

Counseling and Mental Health Resources

Our school collaborates with many outside agencies for students needing mental health counseling and outside therapy.  Sometimes, these agencies will meet with students in school during school hours.   These agencies accept most insurance plans, but there is usually a charge for their service (some exceptions).  Please speak to them directly about the cost associated and if your insurance will cover these services.  If you need my help choosing the best agency for your needs, let me know and I can offer suggestions.
